The Official Visitors Center of NASA's Johnson Space Center

Lunar LandscapeLunar Landscape

The Lunar Landscape gives guests a greater understanding of what it was like for astronauts on the surface of the Moon.  It was created without stars because from the surface of the moon, stars are not visible.  Astronauts from the Apollo 11 Mission brought back evidence of this in the photo of the Earth rising over the Moon’s surface taken from the space capsule during their historical space flight.  Here you will also see the Lunar Rover Trainer used to prepare astronauts of Apollo 15, 16, and 17 missions, to travel on the lunar terrain.
